 The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive was created by the EU and is designed to minimize the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment into landfills. The WEEE Directive requires that a specific marking (i.e. crossed-out wheeled bin logo or "Dustbin Logo") be included on certain end-user products to identify them as items covered by this legislation.
