Job Title: Manager, PC Applications

Key Responsibilities
Manage and lead a team for designing, developing and maintaining Sling Media PC Software products, this includes Slingbox client software, utilities, development tools and future Microsoft Windows based company products.
Education and Experience Required
- B.E and/or MS/M.Tech in Electronics or Computer Science. or Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) with 9+ experience in relevant field.
- Extensive experience with project management including issues & risk management, people management with track record of on-time/on-budget implementation
- Strong sense of process orientation, presentation and analytical Skills
- Collecting input and acting on communications with product definitions team, chief architect and QA group.
- Ability to effectively present information to team members and management.
- Excellent Team building, people and management skills.
- Exceptional organization skills & attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have a demonstrated track record of successfully leading mid-to-large scale Microsoft Windows software projects.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows platform, Intel x86 processor architecture and system architecture.
- Strong multimedia background with the focus on streaming video and audio or networking.
- Macintosh development is a plus
- Must be able to lead a team of professionals, both within Sling Media as well as with outside consultants.
- Must possess the ability to analyze requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
- Ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Must demonstrate hands on approach.
Additional Experience Desired
- Familiarity with a wide range of current video and image processing techniques and digital video compression standards such as MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, Windows Media Video
- Other useful experience: Television broadcast standards – analog and digital such as NTSC, PAL, etc.
